My name is Michael Ferer, My Police Career started in NYPD then continued in Nassau County and Suffolk County spanning over 25 years,Having worked in the greatest city and Suburbs of the East Coast I loved the people who I worked with, and for every day I went to work proud of who I was and what I was doing for the community. Proud to have my daughters tell their friends that their father was a police officer. As the years passed I watched things change more and more and the term
The Thin Blue Line was becoming very common,
The symbol is simply a thin blue line upon a black background. The blue line is intended to represent law enforcement. The entire emblem is intended to represent the police as a thin blue line that stands between anarchy and law and order, and is primarily used as a mark of respect for fallen policemen and policewomen.
Proponents say that the idea behind the graphic is that law enforcement is a Thin Blue Line that stands between chaos and order or between criminals and the potential victims of crime, and it is primarily used to show solidarity with police.
As time continued to pass and my children grew up, I decided it was time for me to retire. A few months into my retirement I wanted to do something to show my fellow brothers in blue that there was still support for them throughout the community, and that's the reason behind the Police Jeep. My main goal for this project is to use this Police Jeep for charitable events, community out reach and fundraisers to bring awareness to the reality of the dark side of how law enforcement is being treated and rally support for these brave men and women who sacrifice so much for our safety.
